Carmeth Tselinat is an NPC in the Pathfinder role playing game that I DM. She was originally intended to appear in the opening arc of the story as a piece that got left within the elven capital city. However, the party ultimately ended up taking her in as a follower more or less. So I had to commission her.

In the world I created, there is a rather shadowy group known as The Brotherhood of the Watchful Eye, that one of the players invented in his backstory. As any DM would, I incorporated them in to the main plot of the game. The Brotherhood's ultimate goal is to get it's leader in control of as much as possible. To be cliche, they would like to take over the world.

For reasons I will not give yet, since I know players in my game could read this and I don't want to spoil things, The Brotherhood ends up with reason to try and mess with one of the player characters. They decide to do so through use of this woman, Carmeth Tselinat. Being a tailor and devout follower of Calistria, goddess of lust and vengeance, Carmeth provided a perfect tool for The Brotherhood to use without drawing attention to themselves. She had an interest in the man the PC's sister was dating, and was also known to be a bit off (she has some depression issues). Using a method The Brotherhood has perfected over the years, they managed to mess with her mind and sort of mind control her, then using her as a cats paw to hire an assassin and try to kill the PCs sister. The Brotherhood figured that a woman that worships a god of lust and vengeance, with a reputation for being a tad off, would be a likely enough person to snap and hire an assassin that if she were caught, she would be tried and found guilty before anyone even questioned magical manipulation, keeping The Brotherhood totally in the clear.

Luckily for poor Carmeth, the party was patient enough to not kill her outright when captured, and found a way to break the control the Brotherhood had over her. Unfortunately, she had already done enough that going back to her old life wasn't really an option. With nowhere else to go, Carmeth was invited to join the party on their journey to strike down The Brotherhood for good. Being a mere tailor, Carmeth was afraid of doing such a thing, but bolstered by her faith in the goddess of vengeance, she crafted herself a set of leather and chain in the colors of her deity and set out alongside the party to repay The Brotherhood for what it did to her.


AzureBladeXIII did a fantastic job on this piece. I wanted it to show sex appeal, because Calistria is the goddess of lust after all. But I didn't want it to be too over the top unrealistic in it's use as actual armor. Meaning it needed to cover the vitals and such. Not show a ton of skin. He pulled off what I wanted amazingly well. Her facial expression is dead on too. She is supposed to look determined, but with some fear and apprehension behind it. Tailors are not accustomed to fighting shadow organizations.
